Novena to St. Silas>

Ant:
These are the saints who were victorious in the blood of the Lamb, and in the face of death they did not cling to life: therefore they reign with Christ for ever, alleluia.

Priest: This holy man loved Christ during his life and followed his example in death.
All: And so he earned the crown of victory.

Priest: Let us pray
O glorious Saint Silas
at the consecration of this Church,
you were chosen as our heavenly guardian,
to support us with your prayers
and make us strong throgh your witness to the faith;
pray for us, that we may have the courage
boldly to proclaim the death and resurrection of Christ
in our daily lives that we may follow
in your footsteps and come to eternal joy.
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
All: Amen.

Priest: May the Lord bless us, and keep us from all evil, and bring us to everlasting life
All: Amen
